Game 14: Southwest vs. New England (3:00 p.m., ESPN) (Prediction: Southwest)
Game 15: Mexico vs. Puerto Rico (5:00 p.m., ESPN) (Prediction: Mexico)
Game 16: Mid-Atlantic vs. Great Lakes (7:00 p.m., ESPN2) (Prediction: Mid-Atlantic)
Clarendon Hills LL from Illinois suffered a 16-1 loss to the Mountain Region's squad out of Las Vegas in the second game of the tournament but will have an opportunity Saturday to redeem itself when it returns to Lamade Stadium, this time for a match-up against the Glenmoore Eagle LL squad out of host state Pennsylvania.
The Glenmoore team mustered just one hit in their 2-0 loss to South Dakota in their opening match and their offensive woes make them the perfect opponent for the team from Illinois, especially given the firepower they faced in the first round blowout loss.
That game headlines a Saturday slate that will also see New England's Braintree American LL from Massachusetts attempt to right the ship after being mercy-ruled following a 13-0 fourth inning and loss to the Irmo, South Carolina squad of the Southeast Region.
To do so, they will have to overcome a Lamar, Texas team that got 11 strikeouts from starter Shane Grawe but still lost a defensive barn burner, 1-0, to Metro Region's Fairfield, Connecticut team.
