Cam Ward's stat line might not show it, but he showcased his potential and impressed some NFL fans in the Tennessee Titans' preseason contest against the Atlanta Falcons.

Ward only went 2-for-7 for 42 yards, but the stat line could have been more robust with help from his wide receivers.

Ward's highlight of the night was a 35-yard completion to fellow rookie Elic Ayomanor.

Ward naturally drew comparisons to another rookie quarterback, Shedeur Sanders of the Cleveland Browns.

Ward's last preseason test comes next Friday against the Minnesota Vikings. After that, Ward and the Titans will prepare for the season opener versus the Denver Broncos.
