Day three of the 2025 Little League World Series, on Friday in Williamsport, features the first appearances of four different teams and the second games for four others, as we get a sense of which teams are true contenders and which are not.

Can the Mountain and Metro Region representatives separate themselves from the pack with their second victories in the tournament or will the West and Northwest Region teams send a message to the rest of the field?

After Japan made Little League World Series history with their ninth no-hitter in team history Thursday, attention turns to the Mountain Region's Las Vegas squad, who will look to improve upon their dominant 16-1 victory over Illinois from Wednesday.

The team announced to the world that they were a legitimate contender to win the tournament with that victory but they will square off with a Bonney Lake, Washington team Friday that has yet to make an appearance in the tournament, meaning there is an air of mystery surrounding them and what they bring to the table in Williamsport.

Still, the Vegas team exploded offensively and managed to limit their opposition to just one run. They looked like the real deal and will have an opportunity to reaffirm as much to kick off United States play Friday.

Panama was also dominant in their first game Wednesday, netting a 7-2 victory. Like Vegas, they will have the chance to build momentum if they can outlast a Santa Cruz, Aruba team that is making its second, consecutive appearance in the tournament and third overall.

The Aruba Center LL squad went 4-1 in their regional tournament, defeating the Dominican Republic to secure their spot in the dance.

Can they improve upon the 2-2 record from last year and make a legitimate run at this year's trophy?

A win over Panama would be a promising start.
