Mike Vrabel Helps Break Up Fight on Video During Patriots-Vikings Joint Practice
New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel got involved after a fight broke out during a joint practice between the Patriots and Minnesota Vikings on Thursday.
Vrabel helped diffuse a physical altercation between the two teams and was spotted within a pile of players from both sides.
This isn't the first time that Vrabel has inserted himself into a scuffle, as he was left bloodied after breaking up a fight between the Patriots and Washington Commanders in a joint practice on Aug. 6.
"I just want them to know I got their back," Vrabel later told Dianna Russini of The Athletic.
While head coaches being involved in multiple skirmishes isn't typical, Vrabel has more than enough experience with being physical. He spent 14 years as a linebacker in the NFL from 1997 through 2010, winning three championships and earning a Pro Bowl nod.
Following their fight on Thursday, the Patriots and Vikings will meet in the preseason on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.
