In the third straight shutout of the day, Taiwan defeated Mexico 3-0, as Lin Chin-Tse, Chang Chun-Po and Chen Qi-Sheng combined to give up just three hits and three walks, striking out 11.

Chin-Tse also paced the offense, blasting a solo home run.

Taiwan now awaits the winner of Caribbean and Panama in the winner's bracket, while Mexico will face Panama in the loser's bracket.

Southeast 3, New England 0

Southeast's bats were on fire, its pitchers were unsolvable and the team from South Carolina rolled to a 13-0 win over Massachusetts on Thursday.

Joe Giulietti was the star of the show, notching two hits and a grand slam at the plate while pitching 3.1 innings without allowing a hit. He walked three and struck out eight before being relieved by Brody Miller.

South Carolina now awaits the winner of Northwest vs. Mountain in the winner's bracket, while Massachusetts now goes to the loser's bracket and will face Southwest on Saturday.

Japan 12, Europe-Africa (Czechia) 0

Japan was not messing around on Thursday.

The team from Tokyo had the bats firing on all cylinders in a 12-0 win over Czechia, led by Yushi Yamamoto (three RBI, one run), Taisuke Someya (two RBI) and Taisei Suzuki (two RBI).

Three Japanese pitchers (Kensei Takeuchi, Ritsugu Furusato and Tensei Yazawa) combined to throw a no-hitter through four innings before the mercy rule applied, walking just one batter while striking out eight.

Czechia will now face Australia in the loser's bracket on Friday with their LLWS lives at stake, while Japan awaits the winner of Canada vs. Latin America. The Japanese are looking to add to their 11 LLWS titles, the second most among international teams behind only Taiwan (17).

Midwest (South Dakota) 2, Mid-Atlantic (Pennsylvania) 0

There wasn't much offense to be found in Thursday's matchup between South Dakota and Pennsylvania.

South Dakota scored early, adding a pair of runs in the first inning thanks to an RBI single from Kenson Henderson and an RBI double from Camden Tycz.

From there, it became a pitchers' duel, and Pennsylvania didn't have enough to overcome the two early runs.

It was a dominant performance from South Dakota's Maxen Snoozy. The starting pitcher went all six innings, giving up just one hit and striking out 11 batters. Snoozy made sure that South Dakota's lack of offense wouldn't stop it from advancing.

After the win, South Dakota will now take on the winner of Game 12 between the West Region and the Metro Region. Pennsylvania will face the Great Lakes region in the loser's bracket.
