Cam Ward Says Titans 'Have The Ability To Be a Top-10 Offense' in QB's Rookie Season
Cam Ward has high hopes for the Tennessee Titans' offense in his rookie season. Some might even describe them as unrealistic.
"I think we honestly have the ability to be a top-10 offense," he told reporters Wednesday. "It's on every guy in that huddle, including myself, bringing that right mindset every day."
That would require quite the jump. Last season, the Titans ranked 26th in yards (304.2 YPG) and 27th in scoring (18.3 PPG). While Ward is expected to be a major upgrade over the likes of Will Levis and Mason Rudolph, he's also just a rookie.

The Titans also bolstered the offensive line, though this is still a team that doesn't have many game-changing weapons at the skill positions outside of Calvin Ridley and Tony Pollard (Ward feels a bit differently about that, of course).
But an improvement at quarterback can be the tide that raises all ships, and Ward is projecting optimism.
"We all believe it," he told reporters. "The whole receiver corps, I tell those guys they're the best. We've gotta always have confidence in each other. At the end of the day, no matter what goes on, we've gotta have that confidence that we will make the play."
