Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb, Micah Parsons Named Nos. 35, 36 on NFL Top 100
Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons may or may not have some ammunition in his ongoing contract standoff with the team.
The veteran edge-rusher sits No. 36 on the annual ranking of the NFL's Top 100 players. Teammate CeeDee Lamb followed at No. 35.

35. CeeDee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys
Parsons dropped 19 places in the ranking, which is a sign that his 2024 season was below his usual standards. He finished with 12 sacks but missed four games because of a high ankle sprain.
Still, the 26-year-old's status as an elite pass-rusher remains secured, which is leading to even more criticism toward the Cowboys for not paying him.
The saga has prompted Parsons to ask for a trade out of Dallas, though that doesn't preclude him from agreeing to a massive extension. That's how Myles Garrett's trade request from the Cleveland Browns ultimately played out.
Assuming the Cowboys land on a figure that's to Parsons' liking, this would follow the similar approaches that resulted in Lamb and quarterback Dak Prescott getting their own market-setting paydays after long delays.
ESPN's Bill Barnwell estimated the front office might wind up paying an extra $84 million to keep its three stars compared to if they had been re-signed earlier.
Like Parsons, Lamb had a somewhat down year thanks to both an AC joint sprain in his shoulder and Prescott's hamstring trouble. The shoulder issue lingered for nearly two months before the Cowboys shut the four-time Pro Bowler down altogether in Week 17. Prescott, meanwhile, was limited to eight starts.
As a result, Lamb went from being the NFL's leading receiver (135 catches) to hauling in 101 grabs for 1,194 yards and six scores. All things considered, that was solid production.
When it comes to both Parsons and Lamb, the Cowboys have every reason to assume both will be among the best at their respective positions. The bigger question is once again whether the supporting cast is enough to make the franchise a true contender.
