The Los Angeles Rams and the New York Giants are the only other teams to come in at over $10 billion in Sportico's valuations, while the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers fill out the top five with valuations of over $8 billion each.
The Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, New York Jets also earned valuations of more than $8 billion, according to Sportico.
The Las Vegas Raiders came in just short at $7.9 billion, while the Washington Commanders rounded out the top ten at just under $7.5 billion, per Sportico.
This year's valuations mark a jump of about $1.5 billion for the Cowboys, which became the first franchise to top $10 billion in Sportico's valuations in 2024.
This marks the first time two other teams have joined the Cowboys over that threshold. The Rams and the Giants tied for the largest year-over-year value change with a 34 percent increase over the team's 2024 valuations, per Sportico.
The reigning Super Bowl champions made the biggest jump up Sportico's top-10 rankings between 2024 and 2025, going from No. 8 at $6.75 billion last year to No. 6 at $8.34 billion.
The Carolina Panthers recorded the smallest year-over-year valuation increase in the league, with Sportico estimating a 12 percent jump to $5.76 billion in 2025.
The Cincinnati Bengals recorded the lowest valuation in the NFL at $5.5 billion, per Sportico.
That estimation still makes the Bengals one of the most valuable franchises in the world. Only 12 non-NFL franchises earned valuations over that threshold in the Top 100 list published last December by Sportico.
NFL franchises on average were valued at $5.93 billion, a 15.4 percent jump from last year's valuations, according to Sportico.
According to Sportico, team valuations are derived from an estimation of the franchise enterprise value (including the team's share of NFL media revenue) combined with team-related businesses and real estate holdings.
One example of a team-related real estate investment that helps the Cowboys regularly top the rankings is Jerry Jones' stake in Legends Hospitality, a stadium hospitality corporation in which Jones holds a 20 percent stake, per Sportico. Legends was valued at $1.35 billion in 2021, according to Sportico.
