The 2025 Little League Baseball World Series kicks off Wednesday afternoon in Williamsport, and one of the most intriguing teams to watch in this year's field is Juan A. Bibiloni Little League from Puerto Rico.
The team advanced through its regional tournament in dominant fashion, emerging undefeated at 4-0, their 11-1 dismantling of Hermanos Cruz LL an exclamation point on an impressive performance.
Can they continue their unbeaten ways? It will not be easy.
First up for them is, perhaps, the other most impressive team in Wednesday's slate of games, the Cardenales Little League squad out of Venezuela.
Like the Puerto Rico representative, the Latin American rep tallied a 5-0 record in their regional tournament. Though they only won their final 2-0, they are still a tough, fundamentally sound baseball team with the potential to make a run at this year's Little League World Series title.
On an afternoon that will see the first United States teams take the field, with squads from Las Vegas, Illinois, Connecticut, and Texas, it is the very first game of this year's tournament that could be one of the best, most interesting match-ups of the entire field.
