Dolphins Insider Hypes Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle Amid Fantasy Football Mock Drafts

The Miami Dolphins' offense had a down year in 2024, but one team insider (Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post) has high hopes for wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

"Tyreek Hill the 11th receiver drafted?" Schad began on the former wideout. "Nah. I'm telling you. He's in shape. He's motivated. He was embarrassed by last season. To have Hill ranked behind Nico Collins, Brian Thomas and Drake London is silly. Hill should be top 5."

As for Waddle, Schad had this to say:

"Waddle is the 31st receiver drafted in average draft position. No. Way. Jose. Waddle looks quicker. His hands have looked better. Like Hill, Waddle is determined to show 2024 was a flukey down season."

In 2023, Hill caught 119 passes for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns, while Waddle snagged 72 passes for 1,014 yards and four scores.

Those numbers took a big dip in 2024. Hill posted an 81/959/6 stat line as he played through a wrist injury during the entire season. Waddle missed two games due to a knee injury and ultimately had a down year (58/744/2).

Starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was notably held to 11 games after missing four due to a concussion and two more with a hip ailment.

A healthy Tagovailoa would go a long way toward Hill and Waddle having bounce-back seasons. Schad ultimately thinks that fantasy football players should move Hill and Waddle up their pre-draft board. He's bullish on the Dolphins' offense in general, with Schad also thinking Tagovailoa and running back Jaylen Wright should be moved up to the draft board.

We'll see soon enough how Miami's offense, which was 22nd in scoring last year after finishing second in 2023, performs soon enough with the season starting on Sept. 7 at the Indianapolis Colts.
