Naomi Not Medically Cleared for WWE Raw, Women's Title Match vs. Iyo Sky Canceled
WWE Women's World Champion Naomi was expected to defend her title against Iyo Sky on this week's episode of Monday Night Raw, but those plans have changed.
WWE announced just hours before the show that the match between Naomi and Sky has been canceled due to Naomi not being medically cleared to compete.
The announcement stated that there will be "continuing coverage on this developing story" on Monday Night Raw, which premieres on Netflix at 8 p.m. ET. Perhaps this announcement will be part of a storyline between Naomi and Sky. Raw general manager Adam Pearce had promoted their match on social media as recently as yesterday.

Naomi cashed in her Money in the Bank contract at the Evolution premium live event last month to win the Women's World Championship. She defended her title against Sky and Rhea Ripley in a triple threat match at SummerSlam last weekend. She's scheduled for a title defense against Stephanie Vaquer at Clash in Paris on Aug. 31.
Over the last few months, Naomi has risen to one of the most popular characters in WWE. Her social media activity has helped attract more fans, and she's embraced her role as a villain after spending most of her career as a babyface.
Fans will have to tune in on Monday night to see how things develop with Naomi, as many will be hopeful that she won't be missing extended time amid her title reign.
