
Fans Celebrate Pennsylvania Winning 2025 Little League Softball World Series
The 2025 Little League Softball World Series came to an end on Sunday, with Johnstown, Pennsylvania defeating Floyds Knobs, Indiana by the final score of 1-0 in the championship game.
The matchup was a pitching showcase, as Reagan Bills' RBI single in the fourth inning scored the only run of the game.
Fans congratulated Pennsylvania for its victory.
Bills displayed her two-way impact in the win, as she also pitched the entire game for Pennsylvania. She racked up seven strikeouts compared to four walks, giving up just one hit.
Despite Bills' impressive performance, Indiana had multiple chances to get on the board. Sawyer Abel initially appeared to start the fourth inning with a triple, but was ruled out of the batter's box while making contact.
Indiana was then able to load the bases in the fifth inning, but couldn't find a way to score.
Pennsylvania capped off a dominant run with Sunday's win, as the the Mid-Atlantic region squad outscored its opponents 16-1 in four tournament appearances heading into the championship game. This included three consecutive shutouts.
The victory represented the first Little League Softball World Series title from a Pennsylvania team since Shippensburg accomplished the feat in 1978.
