Shedeur Sanders Compares Preseason Game to Super Bowl for Players Before Roster Cuts
For NFL players trying to make teams or solidify roles for themselves during training camp, the preseason is vitally important. Just ask Shedeur Sanders.
"Typically, people don't take those too much serious, but like that's our Super Bowl, that's each and every player's Super Bowl," he told reporters after Friday's preseason matchup against the Carolina Panthers.
Sanders played well in his "Super Bowl," finishing 14-of-23 for 138 yards and two touchdowns. It was an impressive first showing for a player who finds himself in a four-way quarterback battle with veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel.

"Overall, I felt like me out there," Sanders told reporters. "And I couldn't do it, of course, without the time. I couldn't do it without the playcalling."
Whether he gets the chance to do it during the regular season remains to be seen.
