Shedeur Sanders' Browns Preseason Debut Highlighted in Behind-the-Scenes Video

On Saturday, Deion Sanders Jr.'s Well Off Media released a behind-the-scenes video of his brother, Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders, making his NFL preseason debut.

The video features Shedeur warming up on the field before the game and making his way through the tunnel before playing in the game and addressing the media afterward.

Shedeur is also shown following the game having a FaceTime conversation with his father, Pro Football Hall of Fame cornerback and University of Colorado head football coach Deion Sanders.

A rookie fifth-round draft pick out of Colorado, Sanders got the start Friday and played the majority of the game.

Fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel and Kenny Pickett were both out due to hamstring injuries, while 40-year-old veteran Joe Flacco, who is listed as the starter on Cleveland's current depth chart, sat out as well.

Sanders was up to the task, and he undoubtedly impressed, going 14-of-23 for 138 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions, while also rushing for 19 yards on four carries.

Cleveland went on to win the game 30-10 over the Carolina Panthers, and Sanders was a big reason why, as he threw touchdown passes of seven and 12 yards to wide receiver Kaden Davis in the second quarter.

Tyler Huntley, who was signed as a free agent during the week, took over for Sanders in the fourth quarter, going 6-of-8 for 51 yards with one touchdown and no picks.

During his time at Colorado, Sanders was considered one of the best quarterbacks in college football, and he showed why last season when he completed 74.0 percent of his passes for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions en route to being named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year.

Given that there was first-round hype surrounding him, it came as a shock when Sanders fell to the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft, but he seems to be making the most of his opportunity regardless.

Friday's performance suggests he is now very much a legitimate threat to compete for and win the Browns' starting quarterback job.

Sanders' next chance to impress will come on Aug. 16 when the Browns face the Philadelphia Eagles on the road in their second preseason contest.
