Shedeur Sanders Nike Ad Revealed in Photo After Browns Debut, 'Only a Matter of Time'

Nike dropped an ad for Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders after a successful first showing on Friday in his preseason debut on the road against the Carolina Panthers.

Sanders completed 14-of-23 passes for 138 yards and two touchdowns. Both of his TD passes occurred in the second quarter and went to wide receiver Kaden Davis for seven and 12 yards.

Sanders also had some impressive plays otherwise, evading pressure to lob a pass to Luke Floriea.

Sanders also had this nice pass on third down with his back to the end zone.

The rookie also rushed for 19 yards on four carries.

Sanders went from a potential first-round pick to a fifth-round choice, and he wasn't even the Browns' first chosen QB after they selected Oregon signal-caller Dillon Gabriel in Round 3.

Certainly, that's what Nike's alluding to here. Sanders went from being a potential franchise quarterback to just needing an opportunity with an NFL team, and he has that now in Cleveland. He still has an uphill climb to eventually be QB1 in town, especially given his spot as QB4 on the unofficial depth chart.

However, Sanders got the job done in his first real NFL action after being granted the start with long-time veteran Joe Flacco resting and Kenny Pickett and Gabriel both dealing with hamstring injuries.

The Browns' next preseason game is a road matchup on Saturday, Aug. 16 at 1 p.m. against the Philadelphia Eagles.
