Ravens' Bilhal Kone, Colts' Justin Walley Suffer Season-Ending Knee Injuries

The Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts both experienced injuries to rookie contributors.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh announced that first-year cornerback Bilhal Kone will miss the season due to a "torn ligament" in his knee that he suffered during Baltimore's 24-16 preseason victory over Indianapolis on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Colts head coach Shane Steichen told reporters that rookie cornerback Justin Walley will miss the team's 2025 campaign with a torn ACL.

Kone sustained his knee injury following an incomplete pass in the first quarter of Thursday's clash, grabbing his left leg. His leg was then placed in an air cast and he eventually exited the field on a cart.

The Ravens selected Kone with a sixth-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft following a senior season at Western Michigan in which he recorded a team-high nine passes broken up in 13 games.

He was expected to operate as a depth option for Baltimore this season alongside players such as Chidobe Awuzie, Jalyn Armour-Davis, T.J. Tampa and Robert Longerbeam.

As for Walley, his injury occurred during a joint practice between the Colts and Ravens on Tuesday.

The 2025 third-round pick had quickly established himself as a key piece in Indianapolis' secondary, working with the team's first-string defense in training camp.

Walley racked up 42 tackles, 10 passes defensed and two interceptions during the 2024 season with Minnesota before joining the Colts.

Now, JuJu Brents and Jaylon Jones will compete for a starting cornerback spot next to Charvarius Ward and Kenny Moore II.
