Lamar Jackson Remains The Top Fantasy Pick
2 of 3.jpg)
While a Super Bowl appearance and title continue to elude him, Lamar Jackson remains one of, if not the, best quarterback in the NFL. A season ago, he was as elite a fantasy QB as there was, too.
So much so that he only finished outside of the top 10 performers in standard leagues in three of his 17 games. He also only finished under 20 total points in those leagues three times, making him one of the most valuable players in all of fantasy, regardless of position.
An elite thrower of the ball, he scored 41 touchdowns through through the air and added four on the ground, while throwing just four interceptions all season.
A player who has only grown and matured into one of the best players in the league with each passing season, with two MVP awards to his name already, there is no reason to believe Jackson will not be right back in that conversation against in 2025, barring any significant injury.
Not only is Jackson the best quarterback available this season, but he should be considered a legitimate No. 1 overall potential pick as he outscored top performers such as Saquon Barkley, Bijan Robinson, and Ja'Marr Chase in standard league play a season ago.

Is McCarthy a Breakout Fantasy Stud in 2025?
3 of 3.jpg)
There are plenty of reasons to be hesitant about taking a risk and drafting J.J. McCarthy too early in your fantasy draft. That he has not played a down of meaningful NFL football is tops.
Still, despite the absence of a sample size to draw from, the second-year player out of Michigan has everything he needs to produce in his first full season in the league.
He has a pass-first offense under head coach Kevin O'Connell, an improved offensive line following a poor conclusion to last season, and the best wide receiver in the league in Justin Jefferson, not to mention the abundance of skill players elsewhere on the roster.
In his admittedly brief appearance last preseason, McCarthy completed 11 of 17 attempts for 188 yards, two touchdowns, and a QB rating of 116.8, meaning he was at least comfortable in the system.
If he can make it through the preseason injury-free and play his first downs in the NFL, there is every reason to believe that McCarthy will thrive and have a big year for a team with lofty expectations following last year's 14-3 season.
