Diana Taurasi Says Caitlin Clark Should Be Next WNBA Player to Get Nike Signature Shoe

Diana Taurasi has declared which WNBA star should be the next player to receive a signature shoe.

The all-time great said Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is the obvious choice for a signature shoe. Taurasi noted Clark's exclusive colorways with Nike, but said it's time for her to have an official signature shoe.

"Caitlin, of course," Taurasi said. "I mean, I know she has some (player exclusives), little colorways, but you can do that on Nike ID. I mean the next Caitlin shoe should be the next one, and you know my kids will be wearing it."

While it's unclear whether Clark has a signature shoe in the works, KicksFinder reported in June that Nike is expected to unveil Clark's signature logo later this year. That seems to be a good indication that a signature shoe for Clark will follow shortly after.

It makes sense for Clark to land a signature shoe, considering her popularity from her days at Iowa and now in the WNBA. She won Rookie of the Year a season ago and is well on her way to being a household name in the league.

Unfortunately her second season has been marred by injuries so far, and she's been limited to just 13 games.
