Titans' Jarvis Brownlee Jr. Says His Helmet Was Stolen During Training Camp Practice

Doric SamAug 6, 2025

Tennessee Titans starting cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr. was missing a key part of his uniform after Wednesday's training camp practice.

Brownlee took to social media to declare that his helmet was stolen at some point during Wednesday's session. He was seen walking back to the facility with only his shoulder pads.

Brownlee was a fifth-round pick in the 2024 draft, so he should be free from rookie hazing by this point. He's expected to play a big role for Tennessee's defense this year, as he was listed as one of the first-string cornerbacks in the team's first unofficial depth chart released earlier this week. On Tuesday, the team showcased him in a mic'd up feature video:

As a rookie in 2024, Brownlee began the year as a rotational player behind veteran cornerbacks L'Jarius Sneed and Chidobe Awuzie, but he was thrust into action when Awuzie was placed on injured reserve with a groin injury following a Week 3 loss to the Green Bay Packers. The former Louisville star took full advantage of his newfound opportunity and ultimately played in all 17 games with 14 starts while recording 75 total tackles, nine passes defended, an interception and a fumble recovery.

Brownlee's presence is even more important this offseason while Sneed is on the active/PUP list for training camp with a knee injury. He was limited to just five games in 2024 after being placed on injured reserve with a quad injury as well. Third-year pro Darrell Baker Jr. was listed as the other first-string cornerback opposite Brownlee amid Sneed's absence.

The Titans are likely on the verge of another rebuilding year, so they have much bigger things to worry about than Brownlee's missing helmet. Still, many will be watching to see if the mystery of who pilfered it will be resolved in the coming days.
