Patriots Reportedly Call TreVeyon Henderson 'Special' amid RB's Fantasy Projections
New England Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson is reportedly making a strong first impression in training camp.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, words such as "special" and "difference-maker" have been used to describe Henderson within Patriots circles. His pass-catching abilities have particularly received praise.
New England selected Henderson with a second-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft, adding him at No. 38 overall.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He's expected to earn playing time at running back alongside Rhamondre Stevenson, who started 14 games for the Patriots last season.
For fantasy football managers, Henderson is an intriguing option as a rookie and could potentially get more snaps as the year progresses. Stevenson will likely be utilized as New England's downhill back and receive more goal line carries, but may have less opportunities if he continues to experience trouble with ball security after fumbling seven times in 2024.
Henderson's reported success as a receiving threat should also be enticing from a fantasy perspective, particularly in PPR leagues.
He showcased his skills as a receiver during his senior season at Ohio State, recording 27 catches for 284 yards to go along with his 1,016 rush yards.
Henderson will look to continue exceeding expectations once New England begins its preseason action against the Washington Commanders on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
