Shedeur, Hunter, NFL Rookies Get Signed Jerseys from Brady, Legends in Fanatics Video

Scott PolacekAug 5, 2025

Every NFL great started as a rookie, and some of the league's most legendary players offered their support and advice on what it takes to succeed to members of this year's draft class.

Fanatics released a video titled The Locker Room in which players such as Tom Brady, Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Peyton Manning, Barry Sanders, Eddie George, Tim Brown, Eli Manning, Micah Parsons and more surprised players in the 2025 rookie class with personalized video messages and inscribed and autographed jerseys.

Rookies such as Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, Shedeur Sanders, Ashton Jeanty, Jaxson Dart, Will Howard, TreVeyon Henderson, Colston Loveland and more couldn't contain their excitement and surprise, with many of them becoming emotional when listening to the messages:

There were a number of moments that stood out, including when Ward reacted to Brady's message by saying, "That's crazy for the greatest player of all time to send me a video like that."

Ward is facing plenty of expectations as the No. 1 overall pick of the 2025 NFL draft, but the new face of the Tennessee Titans now knows the GOAT is in his corner as he begins his professional career as a franchise quarterback.

Brady was far from the only all-time great to offer advice, as Rice told Hunter, "I wasn't the most talented guy out there, but I had my work ethic. And I wasn't going to let anyone outwork me."

Hunter might be one of the most talented players every time he steps on the field as a two-way star who just took home the Heisman Trophy at Colorado. If he can follow in Rice's footsteps when it comes to work ethic, there will be no ceiling for the Jacksonville Jaguars' newest playmaker.

But first he will have to hide the jersey he received from Rice, as he joked his father would probably attempt to steal it.

The video also featured some college connections, as Parsons told fellow Penn State pass-rusher Carter, "way to be a top-five pick, man. We talked about it, you did it, congratulations."

Eli Manning also told Dart it was an honor seeing the rookie break all his passing records at Ole Miss. Dart will now attempt to continue following in Manning's footsteps and find success with the New York Giants in the NFL.

He wasn't the only Giants rookie to appear, as running back Cam Skattebo was perhaps the most emotional of everyone in the video as he read his inscribed jersey from George and watched the video.

"It means a lot knowing how much he cares because it's coming from a great and somebody that has done it and knows what it takes," he said.

It was a sentiment shared by many rookies in the video as they look to parlay the support from the legends into their own excellent careers.
