The 5 Things Liverpool Should Do To Win The Premiership

    19 years without a premiership title is of course depressing and the fact that Manchester United, having already equalled the record 18 championships set by Liverpool is like adding salt to an already sore wound. Can Liverpool finally clinch the title this season after learning their mistakes from last season is yet to be seen.

    Here are 5 things I really feel Liverpool should do in order to finally land the coveted trophy every Liverpool fan craves for.

1  .  Sack Rafa - While this might sound shocking, I really feel Rafa leaving the club is the best option for both him and the club . The reason- Rafa gives excuses for almost everything. Not enough money to spend, Fergie, the owners and the list goes on and on....People might say that he's a good tactician. Well that might be true-(Liverpool does play well in many important matches) but he is a sore loser when it comes to spending the right amout of cash on the right people. Robbie Keane, Andiriy Voronin, Ryan Babel, Mark Gonzalez and Lucas were the players Rafa said would add a new dimension to Liverpool. But did it bear fruit-NO. They are all a waste of money. Liverpool needs a manager who can instill a winning mentality in the team and no just do it temporarily. Roberto Mancini, Jose Mourinho and Joachim Leow would be the man Liverpool needs.

2  .  Be smart in the transfer window - Liverpool might not have the spending prowess of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City but do remember quality is more important than quantity. Now, let's forget all the useless players who came and went but focus on the strength of the squad. Glen Johnson has showed that he is worth every penny since his move from Portsmouth and many have said that Alberto Aquilani is not the suitable replacement for Xabi Alonso but he has not even had a minute of playing time with the Reds.

3  .  Get the David's(Villa or Silva) - How long are we going to be linked with these two players and at the end of the transfer window they still remain as Valencia players. Even getting one of them would be great for Liverpool. They would not take a long time to settle as Spanish internationals Torres and Reina would make them feel at home. Come on LFC go and get them!

4  .  Don't only depend on Gerrard and Torres - A title winning team would not depend on only two players when there are eleven players playing on the field to deliver the goals and points. Liverpool do emphasise to much on these two players and eventhough many argue that Liverpool had a great season last season when either Gerrard or Torres gets injured, much of the credit has to go to the creativeness of Xabi Alonso who can stabilise Liverpool's play with his magnificent passes. He has since left to be a Galactico in Madrid. Therefore all Liverpool players should shoulder their responsibilities well.

5  .  Get a good and patient forward - Fernando Torres seems to be the only good forward in the whole squad. What Liverpool should do in the transfer window in January is to get a quality forward who doesn't mind being left on the bench and backup Torres when he is injured or suspended. The fact that the Reds often play a 4-5-1 formation, the forward should be patient as only one forward would start a game. I reckon Carlton Cole because he has amazing qualities. Plus, he's English.
