Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Lance helped lead Los Angeles on five scoring drives, making several impressive throws.
While it's important not to overreact to preseason production, it was still an encouraging showing from the No. 3 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft.
Fans praised Lance's performance.
The Chargers' passing attack featured several contributors throughout the game, as 12 different players caught a pass. 2025 fifth-round pick KeAndre Lambert-Smith finished with a team-high 43 yards on two receptions to go along with a touchdown.
Kimani Vidal received the bulk of Los Angeles' rushing attempts, picking up 37 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries.
For the Lions, Kyle Allen started at quarterback and threw for 91 yards and two interceptions. Allen was eventually replaced by Hendon Hooker, who finished 3-of-6 for 18 yards while getting picked off once.
Even though Justin Herbert's status atop the Chargers' depth chart isn't in jeopardy, Lance made a strong impression in Los Angeles' preseason victory on Thursday night.
