Jayden Daniels Sees 'Night and Day' Difference In His Game Entering 2nd NFL Season
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels took the NFL by storm in his 2024 rookie season, winning Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year honors and leading his team to the NFC Championship Game for the first time since 1991.
However, a marked improvement from that great season could be in store, as Daniels "most definitely" sees a "night-and-day" difference from last year, per ESPN.com's John Keim.
Daniels expanded upon what he meant by that.

"It's being more comfortable in the offense," Daniels said. "I understand what (Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury) is calling and what we want to accomplish as an offense. I have different tools in my tool belt to get to different protections, to get to different runs versus certain looks."
Daniels looked quite comfortable in the offense last year, throwing for 25 touchdowns (to just nine interceptions) and 3,568 yards. He also added 891 rushing yards and six more scores on the ground. The 2023 Heisman Trophy winner was exceptional in the playoffs as well, throwing for 822 yards and five touchdowns (one interception) and adding another 135 rushing yards and one more TD.
Daniels was so good as a rookie that he even finished seventh in the NFL MVP race. However, it seems as though greater things could be in store for this explosive talent.
