Ahead of WWE SummerSlam, the biggest show of the summer for pro wrestling's most prominent company, the rumor mill is churning out insider reports on top stars and future plans.

Headlining this crop of rumors is Travis Scott and his relationship with WWE and the potential return of one of the most decorated performers on the current roster.

Update on Travis Scott's Relationship With WWE

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Travis Scott and WWE had a "full falling out, the nature of which hasn’t gotten out yet." They noted that the development led to the cancellation of Scott as a downloadable character in WWE 2K25 and Drew McIntyre taking shots at him during his latest appearance on Impaulsive with Logan Paul.

Scott was most famously utilized during the heel turn of John Cena at Elimination Chamber and, again, in the main event of WrestleMania 41, where he assisted Cena in defeating Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

He received criticism for his lack of urgency during his "run-in" spot in the match. That it appeared to throw timing off and led to a lackluster finish did not help matters.

Whether the relationship can be repaired or not remains to be seen but for now, Scott's role on WWE television and position as one of the key cogs of the biggest storyline of the year has come to an end.

Latest on Andrade and Rey Fenix's Tag Team

The team of Andrade and Rey Fenix has joined a loaded SmackDown tag team division of late and according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, that will continue for the foreseeable future.

When asked as part of "Select Answers," Sapp confirmed the plan for now is for the two to remain a tandem.

The team of luchadors will challenge for the WWE Tag Team Championship at SummerSlam, against current titleholders The Wyatt Sicks, The Motor City Machine Guns, DIY, Fraxiom, and The Street Profits.

Sapp added, "WWE had always tentatively planned to have Penta and Fenix join one another down the line, but when they felt it made sense."

With Penta's increasing success and popularity on the Raw brand, it makes sense that those in power would prefer to keep him as a singles option and use the other babyfaces around him, such as CM Punk and Jey Uso, to help elevate his star.

Bianca Belair's Impending Return

Bianca Belair has not appeared in-ring for WWE since WrestleMania 41, where she did battle with Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky in a Triple Threat for the Women's World Championship and in the process, suffered a significant finger injury.

According to WrestleVotes, The EST is on her way back to the squared circle, sooner rather than later.

Belair is one of the elite performers on the women's roster and her return to the squared circle will be a welcome one for WWE. Not only does her star power boost the matches she is in, but there is a ready-made story for her involving reigning world champion Naomi and, potentially, former tag team champion partner Jade Cargill.

One of the most prominent stars on the roster, appearing in mainstream marketing and advertising, her return should help elevate WWE programming, regardless of which brand and role she appears in.

AEW Production Meetings Update

Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Live that Tony Khan has changed the way creative is relayed throughout the day at AEW television tapings, opting to hold actual production meetings with talent, agents, and announcers.

In the past, content for the night's show would be relayed over the course of the day in disjointed fashion.

While there are many reasons for the improvement in the AEW product of late, including a more focused creative direction, the more formatted meetings and relaying of information likely benefits all involved.

Especially when it comes to making sure that all talent, on-air and behind the scenes, is aware of the direction of any given show and the intent of each segment.
