The Reds landed Zack Littell from the Tampa Bay Rays.
Littell, 29, is 8-8 with a 3.58 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP this season. He made his MLB debut in 2018 with the Minnesota Twins before spending the 2021 and 2022 seasons with the San Francisco Giants. He started the 2023 season with the Boston Red Sox before being traded to the Rays.
Cincinnati is 57-52 heading into the trade deadline, sitting just three games back in the wild card race and looking to make a late-season push, and bolstering the rotation should help. The Reds also added third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes from the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday.
The Dodgers, sitting comfortably atop the NL West heading into the deadline, landed some young talent in the trade. Serwinowski, who the Reds drafted in 2022, is the No. 10 prospect in Cincinnati's system, per MLB.com.
Gervase, 25, has made five appearances this season, recording a 4.26 ERA and a 1.74 WHIP. Rortvedt, 27, played 112 games with the Rays last season but hasn't seen as much action this year, appearing in just 26 games so far.
Feduccia has appeared in just two games this season for the Dodgers, taking on a smaller role with Dalton Rushing serving as Los Angeles' primary backup catcher. Joining Tampa Bay could give him the chance to see the field more.
Van Belle, who signed with the Red Sox after going undrafted in 2020, is on the move for the second time this season. Boston traded him to the Reds earlier this season. Van Belle has recorded a 3.32 ERA and 1.18 WHIP through 81.1 innings between time with the Red Sox's and Reds' Triple-A affiliates.
