Ravens' Isaiah Likely Reportedly Has Foot Fracture, Week 1 Return From Injury Possible

Adam WellsJul 30, 2025

Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely's status for the start of the regular season is up in the due to a foot injury.

Per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler and Jamison Hensley, Likely suffered a small foot fracture during Tuesday's practice and he could return for Week 1 "if all goes well" with his recovery.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network added that Likely will undergo surgery and is expected to miss "about" six weeks, but noted "depending on the outcome" he could return sooner.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh told reporters after Tuesday's practice that Likely was going to miss "a few weeks" after rolling his ankle and they were going to send him for an MRI to get more information.

While this does take away a key element of the offense, the Ravens still have Mark Andrews as their primary tight end. He is entering an important season after struggling early in 2024 and being the subject of trade rumors in the offseason.

Andrews overcame a slow start last season to finish with a career-high 11 touchdown receptions and 673 yards in 17 games.

Charlie Kolar, a fourth-round pick in the 2022 draft, will likely see increased reps in training camp and throughout the preseason with Likely out of action. The 26-year-old played well in limited duty last season, averaging 14.6 yards per catch on nine receptions.

Likely's role within the Ravens offense has expanded every year. His receiving yardage has gone from 373 yards as a rookie in 2022 to 477 in 2024. He also caught a career-best six touchdowns last season.

The Ravens have more than enough talent on offense to get by even if Likely has to miss time early in the regular season. Lamar Jackson is arguably the best player in the league. Derrick Henry just had one of the best seasons of his career. Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman are explosive playmakers on the outside.

Baltimore will kickoff the regular season in a playoff rematch against the Buffalo Bills on Sept. 7 in the Sunday Night Football opener at Highmark Stadium.
