Cameron Brink Consulted Jamal Murray, Lindsey Vonn for Advice During Knee Injury Rehab

Andrew PetersJul 29, 2025

Cameron Brink spent the past year recovering from a torn ACL, and she had some help from other athletes who have dealt with the same injury.

Brink told ESPN's Alexa Philippou that she connected with Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray and Olympic gold medal skier Lindsey Vonn about rehabbing from a torn ACL.

Now, over a year since suffering the injury, Brink's hard work has paid off. She said Tuesday that she will make her season debut on Wednesday against the Las Vegas Aces.

"It means the world," Brink told the Long Beach Press Telegram's John W. Davis. "I'm just very excited, very humbled by this experience. It's no easy thing to come back from. Just really excited."

Brink, the No. 2 pick in the 2024 WNBA draft, was off to a strong start before her injury last June. She averaged 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game in 15 contests.

Brink's return comes at great time for the Sparks as they look to make a late-season surge to get into playoff position. Los Angeles is 11-14, sitting in 10th place in the WNBA standings heading into Wednesday's matchup with the Aces.
