Vikings HC Has 'Zero Worry' About Justin Jefferson's Week 1 Status amid Injury
Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell has "zero worry" about superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson's availability for the regular season opener as he recovers from a "very minor hamstring strain."
Last season, Jefferson caught 103 passes for 1,533 yards and 10 touchdowns en route to helping lead Minnesota to a 14-win season and a playoff appearance.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
As noted by Vikings team writer and editor Lindsey Young, Jefferson sat seven games in the 2023 campaign with a right hamstring injury. So there's obviously cause for concern here, especially given his tremendous skillset and value to the team.
In 77 games over five seasons, Jefferson has caught 495 passes for 7,432 yards and 40 touchdowns. He's eclipsed 1,000 yards in all five campaigns, including when he missed time in 2023.
Thankfully, the injury doesn't appear to be too serious if O'Connell is expressing great optimism about his chances to return for the season opener. That will happen on Monday, Sept. 8, when the Vikings visit the Chicago Bears.
