Bernhard Raimann, Colts Reportedly Agree to $100M Contract Extension, $60M Guaranteed

Julia StumbaughJul 28, 2025

The Indianapolis Colts are extending offensive tackle Bernhard Raimann on a four-year, $100 million deal, per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

The contract will include $60 million in guaranteed money, agent Chase Callahan told Garafolo.

The former third-round pick was previously set to hit free agency when his rookie contract expired after the 2025 campaign. That prior deal was set to pay Raimann $3.9 million for the 2025 season, per Spotrac.

Raimann's extension is currently set to rank him among the top five left tackles in the NFL in terms of average annual salary, according to Over the Cap.

The Los Angeles Chargers' Rashawn Slater, San Francisco 49ers' Trent Williams, Minnesota Vikings' Christian Darrisaw and Washington Commanders' Laremy Tunsil are the only other left tackles heading into 2025 while making $25 million or more per year.

Raimann, who will turn 28 in September, earned his first NFL start in Week 5 of his rookie season. He has started every game he's been healthy to play in over his last two seasons with the Colts.

He missed one game with a concussion and two with a knee injury last season, but when healthy was on the field for almost every one of the Colts' offensive snaps.

Last season Pro Football Focus gave him a run-blocking grade of 82.0, ranking 14th among 140 eligible tackles, and a run-blocking grade of 80.7, good for 10th out of 140 tackles.

He is one of just five offensive tackles to average both pass-blocking and run-blocking grades above 80.0 over the past two seasons, per PFF.

The contract news comes just days after Raimann said in an appearance on 107.5 The Fan's "Query and Company" (h/t Nate Atkins of the Indianapolis Star) that the Colts "aren't on the same page" and "might value the position differently than my team thinks it is."

The Colts were apparently able to resolve those issues early in training camp, ensuring that whoever wins the quarterback battle between Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson will be able to work with Raimann protecting their blind side next season.
