Paige Bueckers Says She Doesn't Have WNBA 'Figured Out,' Every Game is 'New Challenge'
Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers is having a fantastic start to her WNBA career and is a runaway favorite to win Rookie of the Year, but she admitted that she still has a lot to learn.
"I feel like I'm adjusting every single game. It's not like I have it figured out," she told ESPN's Elle Duncan. "There's learning curves to it and there's ups and downs to it, but as much as I can I'm just trying to learn every day, watch a lot of film, breaking stuff down to where I'm reading the game in a different way. Every game is a new challenge to learn from."

WNBA Player Rankings 📊
Bueckers, the No. 1 pick in the 2025 WNBA draft, is averaging 18.1 points, 5.6 assists and 1.8 steals per game through her first 20 contests, looking more like a veteran than a first-year player.
Unfortunately for the Wings, Bueckers' fantastic season hasn't been enough to propel them to wins. Dallas is currently in second-to-last place in the WNBA standings at 7-19.
But even if this season isn't going great, the future is bright with Bueckers leading the way.
