Fantasy Football 2025 Top-50 Player Rankings and 4-Round 12-Team Mock Draft
While the start of the 2025 regular season is still more than a month away, the NFL will return to action this week. The Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Chargers will kick off the preseason on Thursday with the Hall of Fame Game.
Over the next few weeks, NFL teams will use the preseason to evaluate players and forge rosters for the coming season. Fantasy football enthusiasts will do the same by preparing for their fantasy drafts.
Leagues shouldn't conduct their drafts this early in the preseason because roles change and injuries occur. Like NFL teams, however, managers can benefit from early preparation and evaluation.
We'll do a bit of that here by examining updated point-per-reception (PPR) rankings, a four-round mock draft and a few fantasy sleepers to follow during the preseason.

Sleepers to Track in 2025 NFL Preseason

Kyle Pitts, TE, Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts isn't a sleeper in the traditional sense. The fourth overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft racked up 1,026 yards as a rookie and instantly made a name for himself in the fantasy world.
However, Pitts has been much more of a disappointment in the years since and isn't currently viewed as a top-tier tight end. He currently holds an average draft position (ADP) of 138, according to FantasyPros.
Pitts could be on the rise, though, with quarterback Michael Penix Jr. set to helm the offense in his second season. Penix has the arm talent to stretch the field, and Pitts is quickly emerging as one of his favorite targets.
"You see we got KP the ball today," Penix said after one practice last week, per Tori McElhaney of the team's official website. "There's going to be a lot of that."
Managers would be wise to follow Penix's development and his chemistry with Pitts during the preseason.
Joshua Palmer, WR, Buffalo Bills
Wideout Joshua Palmer, who spent the last four seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers, is a true sleeper who could reward managers with a breakout season. With an ADP of 195, the 25-year-old isn't currently being valued as a starting fantasy WR.
However, Palmer appears set to start for a Buffalo Bills offense that is expected to be one of the best in the league. He's been one of Josh Allen's go-to targets in early training camp.
"He’s a plus route runner and specializes in separation, which has already been a magnet for quarterback Josh Allen early into camp," The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia wrote. "...All early indications are that Palmer will be a staple on offense and could be a sneaky candidate to lead the receivers in snaps."
Allen is the reigning NFL MVP, and if Palmer really could be his No. 1 receiver, he's worth a selection far earlier than he's currently being drafted. Managers should pay attention to the Bills this preseason to see how their WR rotation is shaking out, even if Allen, as an experienced QB, doesn't see extensive playing time.
