Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"To: M. Reese, you saw it when no one else could... Love Always," Hurts wrote.
Hurts wasn't viewed as a surefire superstar when he entered the NFL, spending most of his rookie season as a backup behind Carson Wentz after the Eagles selected him with a second-round pick in the 2020 draft at No. 53 overall.
Still, he showed promise as a starter in his second year and displayed his dual-threat capabilities before earning his first Pro Bowl nod in 2022.
Hurts is coming off a 2024 campaign in which he threw for 2,903 yards and 18 touchdowns compared to just five interceptions, completing a career-high 68.7 percent of his throws.
He also rushed for 630 yards and 14 scores.
Hurts and the Eagles clinched the NFC East crown with a 14-3 record before they ended up defeating the Kansas City Chiefs to hoist the Lombardi Trophy, with the signal-caller earning Super Bowl MVP honors.
While Hurts prepares to help Philadelphia defend its championship in 2025, he showed his appreciation for Reese after he supported him throughout his NFL journey.
