High-Stakes Tag Match in Question?

One of the marquee contests this year is scheduled to pit Randy Orton and platinum-selling recording artist Jelly Roll against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul.

Designed to attract attention due to the celebrity of two of the four competitors involved, the match is slated for Saturday, but it may be forced to undergo some changes.

McIntyre revealed via his social media accounts that due to travel issues, he was stopped at the airport in the UK and not allowed to return to the United States.

He concedes he may not make it to SummerSlam, which would beg the question: Who does WWE get to replace the Scot at such short notice?

There are options, but none may be better suited to step into a big spot like that and do everything asked of him, including making Jelly Roll look great, than The Miz.

One of the least-selfish wrestlers on the roster, with a knack for thriving under bright lights and when celebrities are involved, The A-Lister is a more than suitable replacement, even if there are some creative hurdles to jump.

Hopefully, though, McIntyre's travel issues get sorted out and he can appear as scheduled.

Surprises, Returns to Expect at Summertime Spectacular

At WrestleMania 41, most expected The Rock to insert himself into the main event between Cody Rhodes and John Cena, aiding the latter in winning the Undisputed WWE Championship and paying off the massive heel turn from Elimination Chamber, in which The GOAT sold his soul to him.

That did not happen and there is no reason to believe it may Sunday night.

An appearance by The Rock is almost always kept tightly under wraps so it cannot be ruled out, but he has barely been mentioned by name on TV since March so the idea of him returning with little foreshadowing appears unlikely.

While The Final Boss may be out of the equation, do not be surprised if Seth Rollins makes a surprise cameo.

Injured or not, The Visionary has vowed not to let CM Punk win championship gold. The possibility of him teasing a Money in the Bank cash-in, distracting his rival and ensuring he does not leave with the world heavyweight title Saturday night makes sense within the context of the story.

It also keeps that particular match alive as a future PLE main event, if and when Rolins is healthy. It also sets up Gunther, who recently found himself in the cross hairs of Rollins, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, to potentially turn babyface against the heel conglomerate.
