For sports card collectors, there's nothing more exciting than pulling a rare card.

Milwaukee Brewers Jacob Misiorowski got to experience that feeling recently, but the exact card he pulled made it even more special. He was at Brew Town Trading Co. opening some packs when he happened to pull his own Bowman Draft Orange /25.

"He was freaking out. He had a true, genuine reaction, as anyone else does when they pull a card that they're looking for, which is the best part about it," Tommy Rhyner, the store's assistant manager, told TMJ4 in Milwaukee (h/t cllt's Matt Liberman).

According to Liberman, Misiorowski didn't even go to the store in search of baseball cards. Instead, he was there to open PokĂŠmon cards. The 2022 Bowman Draft set, which includes some of his first cards, caught his eye, and he decided to open some. He found his card in the third pack he opened.

He autographed the card and wrote "hit in shop," and the card will remain in the store, Rhyner said.

"Having a card like that for the shop and such a great story, it's priceless," Rhyner said. "It's never leaving the shop."

Misiorowski is having quite the year, and pulling his own card only adds to it. He made his MLB debut in June and was named an All-Star after pitching just five games. In his six appearances, he's recorded a 4-1 record with a 2.45 ERA and 0.92 WHIP.
