Harrington entered the day with a two-stroke lead his 67 in the final round to secure the comfortable victory. He notably eagled the opening hole and hit four birdies throughout the afternoon.

This is Harrington's second Champions Tour major victory this season, as he also won the U.S. Senior Open. It was also his second top-two finish in a major as he finished tied for second at the Senior PGA Championship.

Scott Hend and Cameron Percy both shot 65's on the final day to charge up into the top five. Other notable strong performances from Sunday included Steven Alker, who jumped into seventh after shooting a 68.

This was the final major of the season for the Champions Tour. However, the Charles Schwab Cup is inching closer.

Harrington moved into second in the standings with his victory at the Open, and he gains a slight advantage over Alker. Miguel Angel Jiménez is the current leader in the standings. He finished 24th in the Open at minus-3.
