DJ Chark Reportedly Signs Falcons Contract Amid 2025 NFL Training Camp
The Atlanta Falcons signed veteran wide receiver DJ Chark to a one-year contract on Friday as the team navigates through the start of training camp, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Per Rapoport, Chark signed with the Falcons after visiting "several" teams in free agency.
The 28-year-old spent the 2024 season with the Los Angeles Chargers, appearing in seven games.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He struggled to make an impact during his lone season in Los Angeles, hauling in just four receptions for 31 yards and a touchdown. It's worth noting that Chark appeared in only one of the Chargers' first 11 regular-season games due to a hip injury.
The former second-round pick opened his career on a high note, racking up 1,008 receiving yards and earning a Pro Bowl nod during his second season with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2019.
While Chark ultimately wasn't able to build on that breakout year, he's remained a capable complimentary wideout that can stretch the field. He caught 65 passes for 1,027 yards as a member of the Carolina Panthers and Detroit Lions from 2022-23, averaging 15.8 yards per reception over that span.
Chark reportedly visited the Chicago Bears before agreeing to terms with Atlanta.
He'll serve as a depth option at wide receiver for the Falcons, but could find himself in a large role during camp after Darnell Mooney left practice on Thursday with an undisclosed injury following a diving catch attempt.
Drake London and Ray-Ray McCloud III are still locked into starting roles in Atlanta, but Chark may have the opportunity to compete for a first-string position if Mooney is forced to miss time.
