Madden NFL 26 Unveils Ultimate Team Features for New Video Game Ahead of Release Date
As the release date for Madden NFL 26 draws closer, EA Sports revealed new details that will be included in the game's Ultimate Team mode on Thursday.
One feature of Ultimate Team is the introduction of Solo Champions, a 12-game gauntlet of escalating difficulty requiring an entry token that players will be given each week.
Leaderboard Campaigns are also a new inclusion in the mode. Each head-to-head or solo campaign puts players on a leaderboard with a small subset of other players, with each tier on the list unlocking bonus rewards (via EA.com).
Another addition in Ultimate Team is the Pack Helper feature. There are now optional insights to see if a new player is better than a current starter, whether they help complete a set, how they’re trending on the Auction House or if they boost Chemistry tiers all after the player is pulled from a pack, per EA.com.
Meanwhile, challenges are set to return and will continue to contain difficulty levels ranging from one to five stars.
Ultimate Team will also include Team Building Events, requiring a theme team or a specific player in a lineup to enter. Players will have the ability to view any eligible event and auto-generate a baseline lineup to meet those requirements.
Madden NFL 26 launches worldwide on Aug. 14. Players can also access the game as soon as Aug. 11 by pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition or the MVP bundle.
