Packers Reveal '1923 Classic' Uniforms in Video, Photos Ahead of 2025 NFL Season
The Green Bay Packers' throwback uniforms that the team will wear during the upcoming 2025 season were unveiled on Thursday.
The Packers released images and videos of the "1923 Classic" jerseys on social media.
The team also showcased the unique helmet that will accompany the uniforms, featuring a hand-painted design that mimics the leather helmets that Green Bay wore in its early years as a franchise.
The navy blue jerseys contain gold numbers, gold stripes, tan pants and navy socks. The uniform is inspired by what the team wore during the 1923 season, its first year as a publicly owned corporation.
Green Bay finished with a 7-2-1 record that season under legendary head coach Curly Lambeau.
The Packers have celebrated their legacy in the past, wearing uniforms honoring the 1950s from 2021-24. Green Bay also donned jerseys paying homage to its 1940s history from 2015 through the 2019 season.
The Packers will be bringing the leather helmet look back to the NFL, while Illinois previously used a similar helmet design as part of a 1920s throwback during a matchup with Michigan in the 2024 college football season.
Green Bay is looking to build upon an 11-6 finish last year. The Packers' record has improved in both seasons that quarterback Jordan Love has started under center, but they haven't been able to advance beyond the divisional round of the playoffs.
The team made major additions on both sides of the ball in free agency, signing guard Aaron Banks to a four-year deal worth $77 million and handing cornerback Nate Hobbs a four-year, $48 million contract.
The Packers will debut their new throwback jerseys at home during the 2025 season.
