Le'Veon Bell Suggests Frank Gore Fight on Adrian Peterson Celebrity Boxing Card
Former NFL running back Le'Veon Bell is hoping to take part in Adrian Peterson's upcoming celebrity boxing event, and he has an interesting opponent in mind.
Bell told TMZ that he would welcome the opportunity to face fellow former star running back Frank Gore on the fight card, which is headlined by Peterson going up against his poker rival Joe "Baby Joe" Castaneda.
"If it works out, I would love to fight on that card," Bell said. "We find me a nice little opponent -- maybe I fight Frank Gore! ... That'd be a good fight."
Bell defeated Peterson in their September 2022 exhibition boxing match by fifth-round TKO. He has a professional boxing record of 2-1, most recently defeating Tristan Hamm by unanimous decision in May 2024.
Gore has also taken up boxing in his retirement from the NFL, winning two professional fights in 2022.
The date and time for the fight card have yet to be announced, so Bell's callout could pique Gore's interest. The two of them were briefly teammates with the New York Jets, so they could have a score to settle in the ring.
