Giants' Malik Nabers, Packers' Jordan Love Named Nos. 67, 68 on NFL Top 100

Joseph ZuckerJul 22, 2025

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love retained a place among the NFL's top 100 players, while New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers made his debut.

Love fell 34 spots to No. 68 after completing his second season as a starter in the league, while Nabers is making the first of what's likely to be multiple appearances.

The Packers signal-caller didn't necessarily regress but failed to take the kind of step forward the franchise envisioned when it signed him to a four-year, $220 million extension.

Love threw for 3,389 yards, 25 touchdowns and 11 interceptions over 15 starts. His 225.9 yards per game were slightly below his 2023 level (244.6), but his QBR climbed from 62.1 to 69.3, per Pro Football Reference.

The 26-year-old also struggled in Green Bay's NFC Wild Card Round loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He finished 20-of-33 for 212 yards and three interceptions.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler spoke to an NFL personnel evaluator who wondered whether Love's MCL sprain, which came in Week 1, impacted his performance when he returned three weeks later.

"It looked like it took him time to work through managing that injury," the official said. "Another full offseason with [head coach Matt] LaFleur and more receiving options and he'll be fine."

In addition to getting healthy, Love watched this offseason as the Packers finally selected a wide receiver (Matthew Golden) in the first round of the NFL draft and then added Savion Williams in the third.

With a deeper receiving corps at his disposal, perhaps 2025 is when Love makes his big breakthrough.

Nabers could have a similar jump thanks to the improvements the Giants have made at quarterback.

New York cycled through Daniel Jones, Drew Lock and Tommy DeVito at the position in 2024. Not surprisingly, the team ranked 28th in passing yards and last in touchdown passes.

Despite those challenges, Nabers caught 109 passes for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns. The Jacksonville Jaguars' Brian Thomas Jr. was the only rookie with more receiving yards or touchdown grabs.

Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston are likely only veteran stopgaps for the Giants, while No. 25 overall pick Jaxson Dart is a work in progress. Still, the QB room is stronger than it was last year.

That should help to unlock Nabers' downfield danger. He averaged a relatively pedestrian 11 yards per catch and didn't have a single reception go more than 59 yards.

Opposing secondaries will be in trouble if New York manages to turn the Pro Bowler into a more vertical threat.
