Phillies, Padres Reportedly 'Would Love' Jarren Duran Trade amid Red Sox Rumors
The Philadelphia Phillies and San Diego Padres are reportedly interested in trading for Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran.
The Phillies and Padres "would love" to acquire Duran as the Red Sox have discussed trades involving the 28-year-old with "several teams," according to Jim Bowden of The Athletic.
Per Bowden, Boston would be looking for "a starting pitcher and perhaps a first baseman" in exchange for Duran on the trade market.

The Red Sox have a crowded outfield that contains Ceddanne Rafaela, Wilyer Abreu, Rob Refsnyder and rookie Roman Anthony along with Duran.
Still, Boston is expected to buy at the trade deadline (via Bowden). The Red Sox own a record of 12-3 over their past 15 contests, sitting five games back from the Toronto Blue Jays for the No. 1 spot in the American League East.
Duran has remained effective at the plate in 2025, although he's been unable to build upon a 2024 season in which he finished No. 8 in AL MVP voting.
He's recorded eight home runs, 10 triples, 25 doubles and 50 RBIs while slashing .257/.322/.427 in 100 appearances this year.
Both the Phillies and Padres appear to be interested in Duran as they look to secure their positioning in the National League standings, as both teams currently occupy NL postseason spots.
