Jerry Jeudy Says He Has No Control Over Shedeur, Gabriel, Flacco, Pickett QB1 Decision
The Cleveland Browns will be holding a four-way battle for the starting quarterback position during training camp this summer, but their No. 1 receiver isn't trying to influence the race for the top spot.
During an appearance on Nightcap, Browns wideout Jerry Jeudy told Shannon Sharpe and Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson that he simply plans to do his part and produce for whichever quarterback emerges as the starter out of veteran Joe Flacco, backup Kenny Pickett, 2025 third-round pick Dillon Gabriel and 2025 fifth-round pick Shedeur Sanders.
"We got four great quarterbacks, they've all been doing their thing, for real. My job is to make it easier, whoever is at the end, I'm just gonna get open for them and do my thing, for real," Jeudy said at the 5:10 mark. "I don't got no control over that. Whoever the coaches think to choose, whoever they pick to be the quarterback, I'm just gonna make sure to make their job easier when they throw me the ball."

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
In his first season in Cleveland in 2024, Jeudy already endured a difficult quarterback situation when Deshaun Watson suffered a torn Achilles in Week 7, throwing the Browns' season into disarray. While the team tied for the worst record in the NFL at 3-14, Jeudy was one of the few bright spots as he recorded career highs of 90 catches and 1,229 yard while adding four touchdowns on his way to being selected to his first career Pro Bowl.
When Watson re-ruptured his Achilles in January, the Browns were forced to pivot to other options. They reunited with Flacco, who previously played for them in the 2023 season, and they acquired Pickett in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles. They then surprisingly used two draft picks on the quarterback position to add Gabriel and Sanders to the mix.
There should be more clarity in Cleveland over the next few weeks as their four quarterbacks duke it out for the starting job, and Jeudy made it clear that he'll be ready to work with whoever emerges from the pack.
