ESPN's Kendra Andrews reported that more than 40 WNBA players met with the league regarding the CBA on Thursday, but "no resolution" was reached.
The WNBPA released a statement following the meeting.
"The WNBA's response to our proposals fails to address the priorities we've voiced from the day we opted out: a transformational CBA that delivers our rightful share of the business we built, improves working conditions, and ensures the success we create lifts both today's players and the generations that follow," the statement read.
The WNBPA opted out of the previous CBA in October 2024, and the start of the 2026 season is reportedly in jeopardy if a new agreement isn't reached.
The WNBA's new $2.2 billion media rights deal starts in 2026 and the league is projected to expand to 18 teams by 2030. This includes the addition of organizations in Cleveland, Detroit and Philadelphia.
Clark's decision to speak up about the CBA could help negotiations move along given her popularity and status as one of the league's rising stars. She led all players in WNBA All-Star fan voting.
The 2024 Rookie of the Year has averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game while shooting 36.7 percent from the field and 27.9 percent from three-point territory with the Fever this season.
