Former NFL Coach Says 'Rumblings' Out of Cowboys Are Jaydon Blue is 'Borderline Lazy'
Dallas Cowboys rookie running back Jaydon Blue hasn't blown past expectations during the offseason, according to former Cowboys assistant coach Glenn Smith.
"I'm already hearing some rumblings out of the building about the running back that they drafted and him being, kind of, borderline lazy," Smith reported on Thursday's Locked On Cowboys podcast (3:25 mark). "Not in the building, doing his offseason workouts."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Dallas selected Blue with a fifth-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft, adding him with the No. 149 overall choice.
The 21-year-old showcased his speed throughout his junior season at Texas in 2024, rushing for 730 yards and eight touchdowns. Blue also served as a threat in the Longhorns' passing attack, hauling in 42 receptions for 368 yards and six scores.
He was expected to compete with free-agent additions Miles Sanders and Javonte Williams for the top spot on Dallas' running back depth chart, as the Cowboys are looking to improve upon a rushing offense that ranked No. 27 in the NFL last season with an average of 100.3 yards per game.
It seems like he's struggled to make a strong first impression, though.
Blue has some time to get back on track, as he'll look to stand out in training camp as well as the preseason under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer.
Rookies and veterans will report to Dallas' training camp on Monday.
