72. Sam Darnold, QB, Seattle Seahawks

71. Kerby Joseph, S, Detroit Lions

Darnold, 28, resurrected his career with the Minnesota Vikings last season after signing a one-year deal to replace Kirk Cousins.

The 2018 No. 3 overall draft pick out of USC was named a Pro Bowler for the first time after posting a 14-3 record and completing 66.2 percent of his passes for 4,319 yards, 35 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, while also rushing for 212 yards and a score.

Darnold's completion percentage, passing yardage and passing touchdowns were all career bests, and he went on to finish 10th in NFL MVP voting and third in NFL Comeback Player of the Year voting.

While it was the first big statistical season of Darnold's career after previous stints with the New York Jets, Carolina Panthers and San Francisco 49ers, he parlayed it into a sizable free-agent contract.

Darnold signed a three-year, $100.5 million deal with the Seahawks, and he will replace Geno Smith as Seattle's starter in 2025.

The 24-year-old Joseph has spent his entire, three-year NFL career with the Lions ever since they made him a third-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft.

Joseph has yet to be named a Pro Bowler, but he secured a First Team All-Pro selection last season when he led the league with a career-high nine interceptions to go along with 12 passes defended and 83 tackles.

During his young career, Joseph has been as consistent as any safety in the NFL, finishing with at least 80 tackles and four interceptions in three consecutive seasons.

On the heels of finishing sixth in the NFL Defensive Player of the Year voting last season, Joseph is finally getting respect as one of the best players in football, as evidenced by his placement on this year's Top 100 list.

The league will continue to do two Top 100 reveals every day until Sept. 1 when the top 10 players in the NFL, as voted on by their peers, will be announced during an NFL Network special at 8 p.m. ET.
