46-Year-Old Manny Pacquiao Feels Like He's In His 20s Ahead of Mario Barrios Fight
Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao is set to return to the ring for the first time since 2021, and he's not worried about his long layoff.
The 46-year-old Pacquiao told TMZ that he feels like he's still at the top of his game ahead of his matchup against Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight championship on Saturday in Las Vegas.
"I feel excited!" Pacquiao said. "I mean, I'm still feeling like when I was [in my] 20s, late 20s, like still the same. Because boxing is my passion."
Pacquiao recently showed off his physique on social media, and he looks to be in great shape for his first fight in nearly four years.
Barrios is 16 and a half years younger than Pacquiao, but he's not taking the fight against the former eight-division champion lightly.
"He's definitely an opponent, you know, that I'm not taking lightly. I know he's coming into the fight ready and looking through whatever he can to try and capture another world title," Barrios told TMZ. "We're preparing as if we're fighting a prime Pacquiao. We have to just expect the best version of him that we've seen in the past."
