Jelly Roll Training with Undertaker, Kevin Owens, Jacob Fatu for WWE SummerSlam Debut
Ahead of his debut match at SummerSlam next month, country music star Jelly Roll divulged that several current and former WWE Superstars have been helping him prepare.
During an appearance Wednesday on the Pat McAfee Show, Jelly Roll said WWE Hall of Famers The Undertaker and Michelle McCool gave him pointers during a recent three-hour training session.
Jelly Roll added that Kevin Owens has given him advice as well, while Jacob Fatu wrestled with him for three or four hours.
On last week's episode of SmackDown in his home state of Tennessee, Jelly Roll's musical performance was interrupted by Logan Paul, who accused him of being a celebrity trying to use pro wrestling for his own personal gain.
Randy Orton interrupted Paul and defended Jelly Roll before Drew McIntyre showed up and hit Orton with a Claymore out of nowhere.
At Saturday Night's Main Event, Orton and McIntyre faced each other in a singles match with Jelly Roll in Orton's corner and Paul in McIntyre's.
Jelly Roll pushed Paul down outside the ring and got into a verbal confrontation with McIntyre. That distraction allowed Orton to hit McIntyre with an RKO for the win.
Drew got revenge after the match, though, by laying out Jelly Roll with a Claymore.
A furious Orton was out for revenge and vowed to get it at SummerSlam by teaming with Jelly Roll against McIntyre and Paul.
During the post-show press conference after Evolution on Sunday, WWE head of creative Triple H talked about Jelly Roll, noting that he did some pro wrestling training in the past.
Triple H also said Jelly Roll has been training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, and Jelly Roll provided some more context regarding what he has been doing on Wednesday.
While celebrities tend to run the gamut when it comes to their proficiency in pro wrestling, Jelly Roll is seemingly doing and saying all the right things, which may bode well for his debut match at SummerSlam.
