B/R Staff Predictions for Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois 2
An undisputed boxing heavyweight champion will be crowned on Saturday.
Oleksandr Usyk's WBC, WBO, IBO, and The Ring heavyweight titles will be unified with Daniel Dubois' IBF heavyweight in a clash at Wembley Stadium in London.
Will Usyk record his second straight victory over Dubois? Or will the home advantage of a partisan UK crowd carry Dubois to an upset victory?
The B/R combat sports team provides its predictions for this one. Got your own take on the fight? Submit your thoughts now in the comments section of the app.
Usyk Wins Tactical Mismatch
1 of 2
More than anything else, this fight is a testament to the promotional acumen of Frank Warren.
He's managed to take a good but hardly transcendent heavyweight in Dubois and sell him into not only a ludicrous title claim but also a four-belt rematch less than two years after Usyk won nearly every moment of their initial match in Poland.
If you believe a KO of Joshua—whom Usyk has twice dismantled—warrants such a spike in relevance, so be it. But unless the splendid Ukrainian champion turns into a punched-out 38-year-old overnight, it's another tactical mismatch.
Expect several one-sided, clinical rounds on the way, with many so-called experts lamenting that they should have seen it coming.
Prediction: Usyk by TKO, Round 10

Usyk Cruises to Victory
2 of 2
I hate to agree verbatim with Lyle, but ... he kind of has it on point.
Usyk is unquestionably the better boxer and has already shown the ability to knock out Dubois already. The only outstanding questions are if Dubois has gotten any better since his last fight and if Usyk is losing his battle with Father Time.
The pick here is that neither will happen and the 38-year-old Usyk continues his domination of British heavyweights.
This is still boxing and one punch could change the entire landscape of the heavyweight division. Dubois has momentum with a three-fight winning streak and has shown the power to be a dangerous opponent in the past.
But unless the Ukrainian has an extremely off-night, Dubois is going to disappoint the fans at Wembley.
Prediction: Usyk by unanimous decision
