Shooter McGavin Actor Teases 'Happy Gilmore 2' Cameos Featuring Golf 'Legends'
The release of "Happy Gilmore 2" is just a few weeks away, and Christopher McDonald, the actor who plays Shooter McGavin, teased some cameos in the film on Tuesday.
While he didn't give any names, McDonald said there will be some golf "legends" as well as some rising stars in the film.
"I would go in on my days off, just because I knew who was in the scene, and I would walk into the room and there are the legends," he said on The Rich Eisen Show (2:00 mark). "I mean, I can't name them, but they're amazing. And then you have the legends in training right now. The guys that right now are killing it, just playing amazing."
McDonald retold some stories about the first "Happy Gilmore" movie, including a hilarious story about how Bob Barker, who played himself in the original film, insisted on doing his own stunt in the iconic fight scene (4:00 mark).
While the golf stars featured in "Happy Gilmore 2" aren't clear just yet, there are some known cameos and actors in the film. One notable athlete in the movie is Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, who will make his film debut in the movie.
"Happy Gilmore 2" premiers July 25 on Netflix, and fans will get the first chance to see some golf legends join Sandler in what should be an entertaining sequel to an iconic movie.
